AI Engineer
Build the bots that run small businesses.
What you’ll do
- Build and deploy AI agents and automations for bookkeeping, BAS prep, marketing, inventory and bookings
- Integrate business systems through APIs, webhooks and automation platforms
- Build and tune voice and chat agents for AI reception
- Test, monitor and improve bots running in real businesses
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI APIs
- Strong Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience integrating third-party software and APIs
- The ability to explain technical things to non-technical people
- Bonus: experience with accounting, point-of-sale or booking platforms
AI Consultant
Help business owners work out where AI fits — in person.
What you’ll do
- Sit down with business owners to map how their business really runs
- Design practical AI solutions and roadmaps
- Lead onboarding and training for clients and their teams
- Be a trusted, ongoing one-on-one contact for your clients
What you’ll bring
- Experience in consulting, solutions or technology advisory
- Genuine hands-on experience with AI tools
- Excellent communication — you can make complex things simple
- Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face
- Bonus: a small business background
Small Business Consultant
Be the friendly face of Marketing Mate for local businesses.
What you’ll do
- Meet local business owners face-to-face
- Understand their goals and recommend the right mix of digital essentials and AI
- Look after a portfolio of clients with regular one-on-one check-ins
- Work closely with our AI consultants and engineers
What you’ll bring
- Experience in sales, account management or running a small business
- You genuinely enjoy meeting people and building relationships
- Organised, reliable and great at following through
- Comfortable with technology and keen to learn about AI
- Bonus: digital marketing know-how
